SUMMARY:November Membership Luncheon
DESCRIPTION:At the Clive Chamber Membership Luncheon\, members come together to network\, enjoy lunch and listen to a speaker.\n\n\n\nSpeaker: Joel Bennett\, Veel Hoeden Consulting\n\n\n\nTopic: Rebuilding Teams After Crisis\n\nThe surprise exit or retirement of a team member. Layoffs. A global pandemic. The tragic death of a team member. A crisis can strike a team at any time and without warning. And when it does\, the stress of the situation can take its toll on the team\, creating tension where it had not existed before and causing a drop in overall performance. In many cases\, the team ultimately begins to unravel as their "normal" disappears\, diminishing their engagement and their morale. The role of a leader is to guide them through the rebuilding process to stability and team health.\n\n\n\nDuring this session\, we will explore how to assist our teams in the rebuilding process and understand how best to lead as the process unfolds. We will explore three ways in which leaders can help their teams return to peak performance:\n\n	Recognize what has changed\n	Stabilize the team as it works through mourning and re-forming\n	Rebuild new norms that work in the changed environment\n\n\nThis session will allow leaders to explore how to assist their teams in the rebuilding process after a crisis has struck. Crises could include an unforeseen team member exit or retirement\, layoffs\, a global crisis like a pandemic (e.g. COVID-19)\, or the death of a team member. The discussion is meant for a leadership group (executives\, division or department leaders\, etc.) who may be unsure of where to start\, what steps to follow\, and how to frame up the discussion with their teams.\n\n\n\nMenu: Chili and Baked Potato Bar- Baked potato bar with butter\, sour cream\, jalapenos\, bacon\, shredded cheese\, salsa. As well as chili and assorted salad greens and a choice of dressing.
