SUMMARY:VIRTUAL: Rebuilding the Healthcare Workforce
DESCRIPTION:A study released in January 2020 by the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine found Iowa is short 361 physicians across eight different specialties. \n\n\nAccording to the Iowa Board of Nursing as of 2019 there were 47\,812 Registered Nurses in Iowa.  Forty two percent of them are fifty and older and twenty two percent (22%) of Iowa nurses are eligible to retire now. In addition to nursing workforce there is a shortage of nursing instructors.
