Local Love’s location sets $6,000 fundraising goal to support University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital

Love’s Travel Center is inviting the local community to help make a difference for children and families during its annual Children’s Miracle Network campaign.

The five-week fundraising campaign begins this week and runs through the end of September. The local Love’s Travel Center has set a goal of raising $6,000, with funds benefiting University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.

Throughout the campaign, Love’s team members will invite customers to make donations at the store and are also reaching out to local businesses, vendors and community partners for support.

Children’s Miracle Network supports 170 children’s hospitals across the United States and Canada. Funds raised through local campaigns stay in local communities and help children’s hospitals address their areas of greatest need, including life-changing treatments, child life services and family support.

Local Businesses Can Help

Love’s is looking for local businesses and organizations interested in helping the store reach its $6,000 goal. Support can include making a financial contribution, helping spread the word about the campaign or partnering with the Love’s team on creative fundraising efforts.

Donation information and tax documentation are available for businesses that would like to contribute.

Every donation, large or small, helps Love’s move closer to its goal while supporting the healthcare needs of children and families.
