Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa (BBBSIA) is proud to announce the fourth year of the innovative program, Future Pathways. This is a structured mentorship program designed to guide young adults, ages 18–23, through self-discovery, skill development, and goal setting as they transition into independent adulthood.
The program pairs Pathways Fellows, young adults navigating life after high school, with dedicated community volunteers known as Pathways Coaches. Together, they work through a guided curriculum of workshops, real-world experiences, and one-on-one mentorship sessions led by Future Pathways Program Coordinator, Natasha Ratliff.
“Future Pathways was created because we believe every young adult deserves a guide on their journey. This program meets Fellows exactly where they are — whether they’re heading to college, entering the workforce, or still figuring it all out — there’s someone to walk alongside them for the journey ahead,” said Bridget Cravens-Neely, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa.
Program Highlights
Pathways Fellows benefit from a comprehensive program that includes:
-The ability to earn up to $1,000/year for attending the program sessions and meeting monthly requirements
