LifeServe Blood Center is excited to announce its new partnership with Drake University Athletics. On February 11, 2026, we’re hosting our first-ever Bulldog Basketball Blood Drive at the Knapp Center in Des Moines from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Donors at the blood drive will receive an exclusive “I Bleed Blue” T-shirt and a free ticket to an upcoming Drake basketball game.

Donors will also have a chance to meet players from the men’s and women’s basketball teams, along with Drake’s live mascot Griff II! “As Des Moines’ Hometown Team, we are proud to partner with LifeServe to host this blood drive at the Knapp Center,” said Brian Hardin, Drake University Director of Athletics. “Their mission aligns closely with Drake Athletics’ commitment to service, and we are grateful for the chance to support an effort that directly strengthens the health and well-being of our community.”
