Clive Launches New Virtual Assistant to Connect with Residents, Businesses, and Visitors
Clive introduced the tool based on resident feedback on how they prefer to get City information
CLIVE, IA – Clive announced the launch of “Greenie the Goat” a virtual assistant that helps Clive residents access city information 24/7 through the City’s website or text message. Greenie is a multilingual chatbot that helps residents quickly find information, submit service requests, and more to simplify the way they access city services. Residents can also opt-in to receive text alerts about winter weather ordinances, special events, curbside collection delays, and other topics.
“Greenie is the latest ‘goat' to join our herd, and we’re excited to have a tool that can meet residents wherever they are,” said Pete De Kock, Clive Assistant City Manager. “In our 2024 Resident Satisfaction Survey, residents indicated a preference for using the City’s website to get information and a strong interest in receiving text alerts. Greenie is a great way to make City information easily accessible while expanding how we communicate with the community.”
Clive partnered with Citibot to launch the easy-to-use webchat and text messaging service. Greenie combines advanced generative AI and machine learning to handle a wide range of topics. Greenie supports 75 languages, making it a valuable tool in creating an inclusive and accessible community.
