Clive Encourages Residents to Complete Census Online  

The internet self-response portion of the special census ends September 23.  

CLIVE, IA – Clive residents are asked to complete the special census online before it closes on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. The U.S. Census Bureau recently sent internet self-response materials to residents within areas that have experienced recent growth or development. The partial census will provide an updated population count, which will help Clive's eligibility for federal funding, specifically Road Use Tax Funds used to improve streets. 

 
Here is what you need to know about the partial census:  

• Find out if you are included in the partial census by checking the map here: cityofclive.com/SpecialCensus2025 
• If you are part of this census area, you will receive four mailings with instructions on how to complete the census.   
• You can fill out the internet self-response by September 23, 2025. Once you have your 12-digit code provided by the U.S. Census Bureau, you can complete the census online here: portal.census.gov/specialcensus  
• It’s easy, secure, and can be completed in 5 minutes or less! All you have to do is answer a few questions about how many people live at your residence. 
• A U.S. Census Bureau field representative will visit your residence if you have not completed online self-reporting by September 23, 2025.
