U.S. Census Bureau representatives will visit residents who did not complete their census online.
CLIVE, IA - Clive residents are encouraged to fill out their census online by Thursday, September 25. Residents can complete the census online by following the instructions provided in the mailings they received from the U.S. Census Bureau. If they have not completed online self-reporting by the September 25 deadline, U.S. Census Bureau workers will visit residents to count them in the census.
“The online census is easy, secure, and can be done in 5 minutes or less. By doing the census online, residents won't have to take extra time to meet with census workers going door-to-door,” said Assistant City Manager Pete De Kock. “Resident participation in the census helps the City get an accurate population count to increase Clive’s eligibility for federal funding, specifically Road Use Tax Funds used to improve streets.”
Clive's special census runs through November 2025. It covers specific areas that have experienced recent growth or development. The census provides an accurate count of the current population, which helps Clive qualify for additional funding for important services residents depend on every day. This includes services like street repair and transportation planning, public safety, schools, hospitals, or programs for seniors.
